Armani Privè Fall 2015

SHOCKING!
The show was called and so it was! What was a reference to Schiaperlleli and her use of that hot, electrifying pink which dominated the show, shocking was also the punk influence woven into the collection. Hair was black, cropped and spiked, similar to the wigs seen at Chanel earlier that morning, evoking the punk goddess herself Siouxsie Sioux. Texture ranged from inky velvet, patchworks of jacquard silks, twisted silk fringe like that of a shaggy carpet (or dog?) and featherlike lamés moving as delicately like the glossy wings of a butterfly. Complimenting the shocking pink were rich emeralds and tourmaline greens as well as lapis blue and deep purples reinstating that this was no collection meant to be seen by sunlight- even if flats were the footwear of choice! Electricity seemed to sizzle with metallic shine and sparked thanks to the generous use of brilliant Swarovski crystals on sheer gowns and jackets. Minimalism no more - we enter a period of decadence and indulgence and stand out fashion so therefore cue the Armani!
